Dr Abbas Mistry

Dr Abbas Mistry has always been at the forefront when it came to community services.

He has been a part of the Annual Plastic Surgery Camp - Dharamshala, organised by the the Lions Club from 1993 to 1998 where every year a team of doctors from Mumbai under the guidance of dr KS Guleria would operate approximately 100 free surgeries.
He was invited by the General Consulate of Yemen to give lectures and perform surgeries at the Aden Hospital, Yemen. He had performed many complicated reconstructive surgeries and given educational lectures to the local doctors and staff at Aden Hospital during his visit.
He was instrumental in starting the Department of Cleft Lip & Palate at Sumandeep Vidyapeth University, Waghodia, Baroda. He has performed many cleft surgeries at that centre for free.
He has been a part of umpteen number of medical camps, cleft missions & training programs.

Few of his important contributions to society are.

Attended the 7th, 9th, 11th & 12th Annual Plastic Surgery camps under the Leadership of Dr. K. S. Goleria in 1993, 1995, 1997 & 1998 at Dharamshala, organized by The Lions Club of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Approximate 100 Plastic Surgery operations are performed every year, free of charge.
Invited by the Consulate General of the REPUBLIC OF YEMEN to give Lectures & Demonstrate Operations in YEMEN, which was attended in OCT-95 at ADEN Hospital. (YEMEN).
Organized a Plastic Surgery Camp at Pachora (Dist. Jalgaon) in March '98 with the help of Burhani English Medium School and Indian Medical Association - branch Pachora. Approximate 100 patients were examined and 15 Major Reconstructive Surgeries performed, free of charge.
Organized a Plastic Surgery Camp in Sumandeep Vidyapeeth University, Waghodia, Baroda on 20th & 21st February, 2009. 18 Major Reconstructive Surgeries were performed on patients from tribal area of Kavant free of charge. Subsequently helped them in starting a Department on Cleft Care.
Was a part of Multi-specialty camp in Taherabad, M. P., India, where more than 2000 patients were treated between 13th and 14th June, 2009.
Participated in the Medical Check Up Camp held in Bordi, Maharashtra on 21.12.1997 by St. John Ambulance Brigade, No. 3, Maharashtra District.
Participated in Officer's Training Camp held in Khandala, Maharashtra on 5th and 6th January, 2002 by St. John Ambulance Brigade, No. 3, Maharashtra District.

Dr Yusuf Mistry

Being an Oral Cancer specialist, he has been very active with various tobacco cessation programs and awareness drives for anti-tobacco.
He has given lectures and seminars for awareness on oral cancer and related ailments.
He has attended Operation Smile Mission as a part of their Resident Leadership Program in Sangzhi County, Hunan, China as Surgical Resident. It was a 7-day mission in which more than 150 patients were screened and 84 patients of cleft lip, cleft palate and other related deformities and burns were operated over 4 days.
He participated in Free Multi Diagnostic Health Camp for the citizens of Odisha in collaboration with The Dawoodi Bohra Community in Cuttack, Odisha on 24th March 2018, as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and screened and counselled over 800 patients for health awareness.

Dr Taher Mistry

He is an active member in the Burhani Medical Idara since 2019. He has been involved in various medical programmes conducted by BMI during the COVID pandemic.
One of the many medical camps he has attended was at Taherabad, Rajasthan from 7^th February to 9^th February, 2020 organised by Rotaract Club Mumbai. A total of 480 patients were examined & counseled for medical ailments related to Maxillofacial Surgery, Dentistry, Opthalmology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Cardiology.
One of the many medical camps he has attended was at Taherabad, Rajasthan from 7^th February to 9^th February, 2020 organised by Rotaract Club Mumbai. He was an active member at the International Cleft Mission in Vijaywada (24^th March - 1^st April, 2018) as a resident cleft surgeon organized by Operation Smile.
The mission was held at Dr. Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh.
A total of 96 cleft cases (Unilateral cleft lip, bilateral cleft lip, cleft palate, lip revisions, other craniofacial defects) were operated in this mission.
He was the medical advisor and coordinator for Amatullah Aai Cancer Prevention Drive Nashik (4th February, 06th February, 2022).
More than 1000 participants were educated about cancer prevention and importance of early diagnosis of cancer.
He also delivered a keynote lecture on cancer awareness.
